Privacy Policy for Junior Tycoon

Junior Tycoon (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application designed to help teenagers and young adults learn basic business management skills. Protecting user privacy—especially the privacy of minors—is a core principle of our architecture.

This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Junior Tycoon application.

1. The Dual-Track Privacy Architecture (Local-First vs. Cloud Sync)

Junior Tycoon operates on a dual-track data architecture designed to give you absolute control over your information:

• Local-First (Default): The App functions entirely offline by default. If you do not create an account, we do not collect, transmit, sync, analyze, or store any user data on external servers. All data remains exclusively on your physical device.
• Optional Cloud Sync (17+ Only): Users aged 17 and older may optionally create a secure account (via Firebase Authentication) to backup their business data to our secure servers (via Firebase Firestore). This is strictly for data preservation and cross-device synchronization.

2. Information Entered by Users

The App allows users to voluntarily enter functional business information.

2.1 User Information

If you choose to create a Cloud Sync account, we securely collect:

• Your Email Address (for authentication and account recovery)
• Account UID

2.2 Client (Third-Party) Information

Users may enter information about their own real-world clients (e.g., Client Names, Phone Numbers, Addresses).

• Users Under 17: To strictly comply with global privacy laws, the App permanently blocks the transmission of third-party Client Information to our servers. For minors, this data is air-gapped and remains 100% stored on the local device.
• Users 17 and Older: If you enable Cloud Sync, your Client Information is securely transmitted and encrypted on our backend servers. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to store your clients' information. We do not sell, read, or monetize your clients' data.

2.3 Financial Information

Financial data (earnings, expenses, jobs) is stored locally. If Cloud Sync is enabled, this data is backed up to your secure account.

3. Data Storage, Security, & Retention

• Cloud Infrastructure: Junior Tycoon uses Google Firebase to manage user accounts and secure cloud backups. All synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Data Deletion: You have the absolute right to delete your data. You may permanently delete your Cloud Sync account and wipe all associated data from our servers at any time directly from the Settings menu inside the App.

4. Device Permissions

• Filesystem / Photos Access: Used to save PDF invoices or export local JSON backups.
• Camera: Used for optional QR code or receipt scanning.
• System Share Sheet: Used to share invoices natively. The App does not monitor or intercept content shared using these features.

5. Third-Party Services

• RevenueCat (In-App Purchases): We use RevenueCat to manage optional subscriptions. RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase receipts to validate subscription status. We do not transmit your User Account or Client Data to RevenueCat.
• App Stores: Payments are processed securely by Apple and Google.

6. No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising

Junior Tycoon does not use behavioral analytics SDKs (e.g., Mixpanel), advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking technologies. Your activity is not tracked, profiled, or sold to advertisers.

7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, & LGPD)

Junior Tycoon complies with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the European GDPR-K, and Brazil's LGPD regarding the protection of minors.

• Age Gating: Upon opening the App, users must declare if they are under or over the age of 17.
• Protective Air-Gap: Users under 17 are completely barred from syncing third-party Personal Identifiable Information (PII) to our servers. We do not knowingly collect, transmit, or extract PII from children under the local age of digital consent. All minor-generated data remains physically isolated on their device under the control of their parent/guardian.

8. International Data Transfers

By utilizing the optional Cloud Sync feature, your encrypted data may be processed and stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States or other regions.

9. Parental Supervision & Real-World Safety

Junior Tycoon is an educational tool. The App does not supervise, manage, or verify real-world interactions.

• Children must have parental or guardian supervision when performing real-world jobs or contacting clients.
• We do not monitor interactions between users and third parties.
• By using the App, you acknowledge that Junior Tycoon is not responsible for any real-world accidents, disputes, or liabilities.
